Who's Who
The AcademyCGS is unique in that a Panel of Mentor Professors complement a dedicated Teaching Staff of Principal Professors, each one of them an eminent teacher accomplished in the relevant discipline.
Mentor Professors are all actively engaged at the highest levels of their international careers and provide both current and practical guidance to students who are preparing for the profession.
Principal Professors on the Teaching Staff command performing expertise and are now either enjoying semi-retirement from the international circuit or hold residential positions in Spain’s leading musical institutions. They are responsible for instruction of the core curriculum and work closely with the Mentor Professors to realise the Academy’s philosophy for all students to be employment–ready upon graduation.
Visiting Professors are invited to expand students’ experiences and not to replicate the work of the Mentor and Principal Professors.
The Academy prides itself on bringing together a veritable mix of nationalities and cultures who share a common pursuit of musical excellence; and a united wish to share knowledge and experience with a younger generation.
