About Simon

Simon Rayner is a prodigious virtuoso horn-player. He studied with Julian Baker at the Royal College of Music and upon graduation, was promptly appointed Assistant Principal Horn with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 1979. In 1990 he was appointed Principal Horn of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden. He is sought after for a wide range of work ranging from chamber ensemble and solo performances to film and TV sessions.
